On our last day, we woke up early to see the sun rise. It didn't work out as planned since the sun doesn't rise in the west, but it was nice to take a walk before the day started. We headed out to the harbor.
It was very calm and quite foggy. Later in the day, we checked out the Moreton Bay Fig Tree, which is pretty famous. It was planted in 1876 and declared an historic landmark in 1970. The trunk is 12.5 feet in diameter, and the branches spread 198 feet.
The roots are huge, and stretch out in all directions. We ended our day, and our trip, with a visit to the Santa Barbara Art Museum.
After grabbing a late lunch for the train ride, we headed home on the Amtrak.
